I'm Mathew Cordeiro, an independent life and health insurance advisor based in Ontario. I built Bluebird Assurance because most people don't need more jargon. They need a clear picture of what they have, what they don't, and what actually fits their family.
I work with families, self-employed professionals, and small businesses across the province. Every conversation starts the same way: no pressure, no scripts, just straight answers and a plan that fits your life.
My approach is built around education first. I want you to understand exactly what you're buying, why it matters, and how it fits into the bigger picture of your finances. That means walking through the trade-offs in plain language, showing you real numbers, and being upfront when something isn't the right fit. When the time comes to make a decision, you'll feel confident, not pressured.
Beyond the policy itself, I stay in your corner long after the paperwork is done. Life changes, families grow, businesses evolve, and your coverage should keep up. A quick check-in every year or two keeps everything aligned, and I'm always a text or call away when something unexpected comes up.

In loving memory of my mom
A promise to my mom.
My mom was a life insurance broker, and one of the most caring people I've ever known. She didn't sell policies. She sat at kitchen tables with young families and helped them sleep at night. She made phone calls to widows nobody else wanted to make. She remembered birthdays, anniversaries, kids' names.
When she was diagnosed with liver cancer, I was working a dead-end retail job, going nowhere. I'd always brushed off the idea of following her into the business. I thought I wasn't the type. She knew better.
In one of our last real conversations, with her in a hospital bed and me trying to keep it together, she said, "You'd be incredible at this, Mathew. Take care of my clients. Take care of the next generation."
I promised her I would. I had no idea how hard that promise would be to keep.
The first years in this industry were brutal. Rejection. Self-doubt. Quiet months. More than once I thought about quitting. But every time I almost did, I heard her voice. So I stayed. I learned. I got better. I figured out how to actually help people the way she did.
Bluebird Assurance is that promise — kept, and still being kept every day.
I named it Bluebird because she always said bluebirds carry hope. Every family who sits down with me, every gap I help close, every late-night text I answer, it's a small piece of her legacy continuing forward. And it's an honest attempt to give Ontario families the kind of advisor she was: clear, calm, and on your side.
